Exactly what I think too. They played it conservative using a harder tire and still putting down the fastest times (or just hundredths off the C5). Also believe testing on the tires closer to what they'll use in the race or will use (when they used C3) will benefit them greatly.

I think this is well known despite what teams say. It’s really how much more the car is tuned for the lead driver. To think both cars are completely equal isn’t correct otherwise you’d find drivers with similar skill sets that fit the car, and not find any driver you think could drive a certain setup.

Completely agree, its just that 'some' think lead drives and especially Max don't get special treatment. Maybe others struggle as team mate not just due to a skills gap but a design / functional capability of the car to such an extreme. That's what Albon implies.
