We had good luck with those foam mini-stairs to let our old cat make it up onto/off of the bed (ours is raised up nearly 3ft high). Not sure if those would work in your place, but thought I'd mention it.

We got it pretty quickly after he hurt himself. Pretty spendy for what it is, but worth every penny.

It took *maybe* 10 minutes to train him to use it-- Max is nothing if not food oriented, so we put a treat on each step and a couple on the bed and that's all it took.

Now, he uses it every time he wants up, and about 95% when he wants down. It's great..... except that his orthotic can *hurt* if he thumps you in the wrong spot!

Yes like that. Yours is much nicer that the ones we got (ours were more a square-step - that one looks evven better for cat-sized steps).

It sure wasn't going back to Amazon once we opened it-- it came in a small box in a vacuum sealed bag. Once you opened the bag? It was like an aircraft life raft inflating! No going back after that.

Max *adores* the white fuzzy blanket (which is why it's on the bed in the summer). He won't sleep without it, so if we leave in off the bed, it's "Meow, Meow, Meow, paw, paw, paw" on my wife until she concedes defeat and lays it back on the bed.

Then? He's happy and curls up next to Mom for bedtime.

We lost our whirly girl today. She used to twirl, spin and jump when she got up in the morning. We’ll miss her sleeping on the couch with her tongue hanging out. She was an old dog when we adopted her and was part of a bonded pair. She is with Leo and her first family. First Otis (see above) and now Roxy. What a crappy week.

We welcomed the newest member to our family after our older lab passed away in May.

Kids are very excited as they've never experienced having a puppy before.

Meet Remington (Remi for short) - 10 weeks old and just shy of 14lbs. Very inquisitive guy, I think he's going to be fun.
