I really meant any green, I wouldn't say no to that one in a dark red though.
I like veteran Alonso being the oldest driver on the track and wish him better luck in the coming races.

No, he didn't. The rb21 is the first red bull car without his input. The rb20 didn't benefit from his mid-season guidance either, which tracks with why other teams have closed the gap /are passing them now.

Adrian Newey left RBR officially on 1st March 2025 and on the same day joined AM as the Managing Technical Partner so apart from the RB17 hyper car project while being on full pay he must have been helping out with the race car whatever google says.

I know . But in the first 3-4 months of 2024 , Newey (still)! worked in a RB engineers/designers team together with Pierre Waché.

A. Newey said : I've seen "something" on the RB21 what I really (don't)! like...
So , the Frenchman Pierre Waché knew about RB21's fundamental design flaw and to fix it completely, a complete new car was required ..

And all the RB21 upgrades transformed in downgrades. It made the car undriveable (!)
That's why I think Pierre Waché really s@cks , because one year later the RB21 still s@cks (!)
The rest is old news : The announcement of Newey's departure and later as we know, he was gone and moved to Aston and got a great contract with Aston company shares ..

I am excited for the change at RB, but I hope this comes as a wake up call for RB that they need to change things up on how they do things. Obviously shit isn't working.

Hope Yuki is able to test out the RB21 this week / weekend and next week before fully taking the seat next weekend to get a great feel for the car.

Nope...
"What we do know is that, unlike Lawson, Tsunoda will not have the benefit of acclimatising to his new car in pre-season testing, with the Japanese driver to be instead thrust straight into the RB21 spotlight in Practice One at his home Suzuka track. He should at least get simulator time to get used to its settings at the team's Milton Keynes base before flying to Japan."

"Is Tsunoda doomed to fail at Red Bull too?"
https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/i...-red-bull-too/

Excerpt:
"Tsunoda has sampled Red Bull’s RB20 in the post-season Abu Dhabi last year, and was very quick to say “I didn’t really struggle much to adapt”.
He added: ”On the long runs, I have been able to run consistently and straight away felt the limitations of the car, which if you don’t have confidence in the car you can’t feel any limitations.”
But it’s of course worth noting that Lawson also drove the RB20, and his time in that car didn’t raise red flags for what would be his downfall in the RB21.
The RB21 is clearly not an easy car to walk into. It’s no wonder Verstappen even suggested Lawson would be faster in the Racing Bulls than the Red Bull.
He’s absolutely right. Not because the Racing Bulls is a faster car - it isn’t - but because the peak performance is much more accessible than the RB21’s.
It’s why it wouldn’t be any surprise to see Lawson ahead of Tsunoda in the early stages of the Japanese GP weekend. The key will be Tsunoda making bigger early strides than Lawson was able to and reversing that gap.
Verstappen has a unique ability to find the limit of the car, even one as compromised as the RB21. He knows how to load up the front through fast corners - like Turn 9/10 at Albert Park - without unsettling the rear. Lawson fell foul of this and consistently had oversteer that wrecked his confidence and laptime.
It’s the kind of capricious car that you can only know how a driver will perform in it once they’re driving it in a competitive grand prix weekend where there’s limited time and evolving track conditions that you have to follow.
Still, it's an opportunity for Tsunoda to prove Red Bull was wrong and back up his punchy Abu Dhabi test comments and after all, what's he got to lose?
"

That’s what I saw. More Charlie’s fault but write it off as a first lap incident.

And you'd be wrong. Red Bull said they exluded Newey from all meetings and all things related to RB F1 the moment he told them he was leaving for AM, while leaving him with Hypercar duties.

It's OFFICIAL. Tsunoda is now Max's partner. Lawson is Hadjar's partner.

The person to blame at RB is Horner. Not only has he lost Newey, but as everyone knows many other very important people have left.

Since Max and Daniel he is 0-4 on driver hires. He hung on to Checo way too long last year and should’ve put Yuki in that seat midway through to try and salvage the WCC. Or if they knew that early they were going with Lawson, why not make that switch last year so you could’ve avoided the chaos this year?

A lot of people don’t like Zach (especially Horner of course), but at least he takes responsibility for what happens with his team, unlike Horner.

The typical F1 cycle. Happened to Mercedes and now it's happened to Red Bull - the only real difference is Max is still relatively young so it will be interesting to see how Red Bull approaches this. Does Red Bull actually consider any input Yuki might provide towards development or is the main objective still to give Max a car to compete for a driver's championship?

Talent drain is real and I think Red Bull is entering that phase, like all winning teams, of where and how do we replace talent that we lost and keep the competitive consistency? A large chunk of the team which provided Red Bull a championship winning car is gone and now they don't have a car they think they can win in (or so they say) and don't have an answer for a number 2 driver. There is a lot that Red Bull needs to sort out.

Maybe, maybe not, seems to be happening quite a bit more quickly there, especially in the last year. All of the other top teams have had a relatively stable driver lineup for years while RB is running through them. Yes key pieces of a winning team get poached, but again at the rate at which they are at RB seems to be more than usual.

If they can’t hang on to Max at the end of this year, their downfall (led by Horner) will be complete.

Quite a few sources point to this being incorrect. Google AI is simply a summary of several sources. It even shows you the sources it uses....

Tough to think that rb struggles coincide with Newey departing, but it most certainly is the case
