thanks to Toto, this is what happens when you find a kid who knows how to drive and give them 10,000kms in a F1 car before their first F1 season.

i read Oscar got 5,500kms in an Alpine before signing for McLaren and racking up another 1,300kms.

these kids don't just show up and drive amazing F1, they have been coached.

Not sure that is true. Max went out a bit early...his ability to do a 1:26.7 on scrubbed softs means if he went out with some track evolution he'd have been on pole. Plus the car looked rather stable and if tire wear goes down then race pace is improved too.

Youngest pole sitter ever for a Sprint. If he can repeat his feat during the GP qualies, he'll be way ahead of any F1 driver (25 Aug 2006 = 18 years).

Antonelli is the youngest to lead a F1 race, youngest to have a fastest lap and now youngest to have a sprint P1. Amazing

I'm pretty sure , the Frenchman Pierre Waché is an idiot (!)

I mean : The idiot Pierre Waché has the task of designing the 2026 RB22 'active aero.
Just imagine that , and the 2026 RB22 looks like a f@cking windmill with a FORD espresso machine under the hood (!)

In one word : DISASTROUS (!)
Waché spearheads a team. It's team work. If you call him an idiot, you blame his whole team of being a bunch of bunglers.

Many will say: "Yeah, but Antonelli got parachuted as rookie straightaway in a mighty Mercedes car, the real deal - no Haas car as F1 entry. No other modern day rookie driver got a very competitive car at his disposal to shine his colors from the get-go."

But then again, Toto Wolff considered him worthy of getting the seat and, boy, does he deliver. Mastering as an 18 year young kid to drive a sophisticated fully-fledged Mercedes F1 car, filling massive Hamilton shoes, processing savage neck-straining G forces, brutal deceleration and acceleration, combined with the stress of the paddock and the whole world watching every single move, is a truly outstanding achievement. The kid has outperformed the whole field on a track he wasn't familiar with in real life, with only 1 Free Practice under the belt.

New spice in the mix - this is great for F1. 'Interesting season' instead of 'silly season'.

Via personal reliable first hand info originating from the Monaco whereabouts (no press - no influencers), I was told that, also in real life, Kimi is a humble kid, the kid next door.

I agree he is fortunate to have the opportunity to start with one of the top teams.

Beating a 7 time and 4 times F1 champion and also both McLarens is impressive from a rookie.

It’s good to see the talented young drivers coming into F1.

Of course I know . There are teams of Aero Design Engineers , Technical Engineers , Development Engineers and 1000 Red Bull employees at Milton Keynes in 2022 .

Negative , I don't blame the whole Red Bull Team . I just blame one man , because the Frenchman Pierre Waché is the Red Bull Technical Director.
This means Pierre Waché has the last word about the car inside and outside. Pierre Waché is responsible for the fundamental design flaw of the 2024 RB20 and the 2025 RB21 and the cars performance.

So far Pierre Waché f@cked it completely up in 2024 and in 2025.
And in 2026 he will do it again (!)

Turn 1 heads to the right (sharp angle though). Piastri (P2) has the benefit of starting on the inside. If he has a perfect start with his fast McLaren, he could divebomb Antonelli (P1), locking him out to negotiate Turn 1. ...But Piastri has Verstappen sitting right behind him. If Antonelli swerves to the right to cut off Piastri, Norris could attempt to overtake Antonelli on the outside of Turn 1. If Antonelli has a perfect start, he got more room to negotiate (sharp) Turn 1 wider, ahead of Piastri. Possibility of trouble in Turn 1.
