I think that's the effect of the softs already wearing on the RB and not on the McLarens.

I fear the racepace of the McLarens will be superior again, their tyredeg is unbelievable.

With all the potential phasechange materials in the brake drums, I wonder if they use something like sodium. Probably not sodium but a metal with lower melting point, but it's very normal to use sodium in hollow exhaust valves so at the moment the exhaust valve gets hot, the sodium melts and disperses the heat better through the valvestem. (this has been done since the 50's or so, this is nothing new)

Great effort from Max, but PIA gets pole

And Lando only 4th... on a track where overtaking is fairly difficult. And that's not Lando's strong point!

Yeah . It looks like Pirelli is helping McLaren with even softer compounds as the papaya tyres last forever..
MAX's softs won't last long at this track , think that RUS on his mediums takes P2 after 7-8 laps .
Great choise from RUS !

McLaren wins this race with the papaya tyres (easily)!

Everything the ferrari media put out during the winter with the pretty pictures and the promise that it'll be great...it all shatters so hard now....
They're obviously behind Mclaren, but also behind RB, behind MERC, and it looks like behind Williams.
And what's gonna happen if AMR comes with more upgrades and they also finish behind them?

Those qualifying sessions are really exciting this year. Mayby even more than the races. Norris a bit dissapointing to be honest. Piastri clearly the no1 McLaren driver at the moment.
