Marko's the man, MAX was hit at Spielberg and the 'he must move because of this' brigade see this as more a reason for him to leave the team..laughing my socks off at that. ''Marko stays, I stay''.

If Mercedes can meet Verstappen's expensive demands within the next couple of weeks: 2026 = exit Russell - enter Verstappen.

For Wolff, it's the second window of opportunity in his career to get Verstappen. This time around, on 1 July 2025, the stars have aligned. Getting Verstappen = strengthening Team Mercedes in performance and feedback + making him unavailable for other teams in years to come (substantially reducing Red Bull Racing's chances to end ahead of Mercedes in the next couple of WCC's) + getting an F1 Yoda for Kimi Antonelli.

They are trying it on Fred to get him out also but as the dust settles after he got his knuckledusters out all is back to normal. The warhorses have drunk cool water from the trough and calmed down

Marko was asked about Verstappen’s Red Bull exit clause and whether the parameters that would allow it to kick in have now been met.

He responded: “They are currently such that there is no concern whatsoever about an exit.

Dutch journalist and former Red Bull F1 driver Robert Doornbos disclosed the following:
https://gp33.nl/f1-nieuws/robert-doo...max-verstappen

Verstappen's RBR contract running till the end of 2028 features two early exit clauses. If at least one of the two is met, Verstappen becomes a free agent after the season:
  • no WDC P1 or WDC P2 by 30 June: condition met (he's WDC P3)
  • no WCC P1 or WCC P2 or WCC P3 by 30 June: condition met (RBR are WCC P4)
Conclusion: if Verstappen wants to leave RBR after Abu Dhabi 2025 with no strings attached to RBR, he can. Toto Wolff smells a unique chance. But what about Lawrence Stroll ? The way he "stole" Fernando "El Plan" Alonso from Alpine in the Summer of 2022 with tons of cash, was spectacular. And what if John Elkann gets an exceptional change of heart about Lewis Hamilton to get Verstappen to Ferrari ? It's all a matter of prestige to win championships and money talks. Wolff knows that he needs to gear up if he wants to beat Daddy Stroll and Elkann to get Verstappen's signature.

That could also help to explain why Verstappen's point of view about his RBR team mate wasn't decisive – RBR fully decided that (for example the Lawson - Tsunoda swap) because of WCC results. Lawson gave RBR no WCC points (0%), Tsunoda gave RBR 7 WCC points (4.32%). Verstappen 155 (95.68%).

Still intrigued that Verstappen's race engineer since 2016, GP Lambiase (now also charged with additional RBR tasks), exceptionally was absent at the past race weekend in Austria ending on the crucial 30 June contract flag date. "Personal reasons" was commented. Any fallout from the disastrous final stages of the Barcelona GP causing loss of precious WDC and WCC points, a penalty, heated conversations and road rage ? Was Barcelona the final straw that broke the camel's back, the "Et tu, Brute ?" Caesar moment between Verstappen and Lambiase ?

Yoovidhya may see more method behind the madness with what is happening with Ford and the updates now (which keep RB 21 ahead of the others mostly except for the Larens which are uncatchable) before deciding anything rash which may see RBR fall quickly to a mid team.

It could be Yoovidhya is raging more at this than with anything else and is likely calling for Lambiase's head.

The cracks started showing in Red Bull last year with Horners Incident and multiple people leaving the team.

Max is the only thing keeping them slightly competitive. With him they are fourth in the WCC and without him they would be lucky to be ahead of the Racing Bulls (Their junior team).

I don’t see them being competitive next year with the Ford PU and current design team. I think it will take Ford a few years to catch up to the other manufacturers that have had years working with these hybrid PUs.

If Max wants to win more WDC he needs to move to a different team or is he content to be another Vettel with four and done.

I don’t see Max being happy driving in the midfield like Vettel or Alonso.

Of course being a McLaren fan I hope he signs with Alpine or he would look really good in a brand new Caddie 😂🤣

Silverstone coming up and MAX will wipe the smirk of one or two RBR smirkers, he does it on his own not with any help from any teammate.
So when did McLaren last win a drivers championship? Oh yes 17 years ago and with a lot of 'help' from others

You are right, it’s been a long time since they have won the WDC. I’m not one to switch teams because mine is not doing well.

Seems most people on here are Max fans not Red Bull fans. I guess there will be a lot of RB gear thrown away if he moves to a different team😩

The RB21 should do well at Silverstone it being a high speed track but if Max doesn’t I’m sure all you Max fans will have some kind of excuse.

Realistically a podium is all MAX can hope for in 30C weather in the middle of England as it is now unless one of the papayas Merc engines cries enough, then its still a podium. But wait I'm seeing 20C for Sunday with 55% chance of rain for me well south of Silverstone .

And where is the media on Tsunoda? Now that they've been proven so incredibly wrong about Checo, have they finally learned a lesson and decided to just shut up about it?

no idea why, it could be anything from sickness eg self or family member to the stuff you've written, or anything in between.

but if RB sacks him and another team hires him it's RB's loss. he's one of the best communicators. RB without Max is like a batman movie with no batman. RB without GP is like a batman and robin movie with no robin. granted, I actually thought the replacement was as good if not better. so batman and another robin.
