***Nice. Some of my rigs, and a couple pics of me riding them.
I still race, mostly road racing but also some mountain biking/cyclocross. Former Cat 2, currently race Masters with the old fellas now that I am older, fatter and no Spring chicken myself anymore! ![]() It's a nice hobby. Presumably good for me too though there are times I'd rather just sit around and play video games or eat my weight in Sushi, and/or Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait's or something... ![]() I ride quite a bit, in the Winter mostly on Zwift (computerized system with your own bike riding with others in real time, etc.. it's very very nice.). I'll be riding outside tomorrow assuming it doesn't rain. Otherwise I ride Zwift... When it is nice weather, I ride outdoors on fast group rides mostly. |

Don't let that beauty go to waste. Although, I shouldn't talk. I've only ridden my Trek Domane SL7 once since I got my Domane+ LT 2-1/2 years ago. I keep meaning to get back to riding w/o the pedal assist, but once you get hooked on that, it's hard to go back to fighting headwinds.

Longest solo ride. Man I'm cooked, I wasn't sure I would make it back home.
Edit: Also I forgot to add. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS TWIG?! I noticed something on the front tire halfway through the ride. I stopped and wiggled it but it was in there pretty good so I left it. Got home and all that was left was a tiny splinterish thing. Pulled it out and it started letting out air. Whew good thing I left it.

Basically did the same as my last ride. First time going that route I didn't get a puncture. Also Garmin saying I hit 39.8mph today, so close to 40.

42 miles, personal best for distance!
69 rpm, 10.7mph, 111HR. Started at 6:15am, finished approx 10:30 and the sun was getting warm. Empty trail and public roads at the start. Busy trail and roads at the end. Sunny and not too windy. Great ride! |

New longest on my own. Also my new top speed.
Just put on some new Pirelli 35mm tires on yesterday, feels real good. Went on a cracked up road I haven't been on in a while. Was lost in my thoughts before I realized I was on that road not buzzing my hands around. Was my first time changing tires, wasn't too bad except I noticed I put one tire on backwards and I couldn't take it back off. Had to drive down to the shop to get another tire lever.

Commuted today for the second day in a row! HR monitor has been acting up, so I changed the battery, and this morning it said my HR was 72 the entire ride, never changing once.
![]() This year has been terrible for commuting with worse than normal weather and other demands (such as tomorrow, when I'll need to drive). Having the BMW makes the drive very pleasant, but my gut tells me I need to ride more. Looking forward to the TdF, but not pleased to hear they're having a major heatwave right now. Hopefully it moves on before the weekend. |

Took a short ride over to Dad's and back this morning and the electronics are getting worse. HR monitor is still not cooperating despite the new battery, but today the Wahoo app on my iPhone could not acquire GPS. Tried restarting the app, tried restarting the whole phone, nothing. So no speed, no distance, no Strava map, nothing but elapsed time today. Did the DOGE bros lay off the people in charge of keeping the GPS system running on holidays? Nice ride otherwise if a bit warm. Will try again tomorrow.

Short one today, legs are a bit beat up from changing the oil on 2 cars the other day.
There were a group of 6 dogs on the bike path today, waited for most of them to wander off and chanced it with the 1 left. Got chased and barked at for maybe 30 feet. Also the first time I've clipped back in without having to look down, not bad not bad. And first long ride since I switched to a 11-34 from my 11-30 cassette. Climbing is a little easier, PR on the climb home and only had to rest once haha. Then again I did do half the distance I did last week so my legs had a bit more juice in them.

23 miles, 67rpm, 10.2mph, good ride. Hot and humid at the start at 3pm, 92deg and full sun. Dark clouds formed west of us and it started pouring at mile 15 and we took cover at a gas station. Temp dropped 10 degrees and had a nice ride home after the rain stopped.
