Great TV series - What are you watching now?

Trying Waterfront, only 2 episodes in, i like the premise but the brother and sister are poorly cast. Will keep at it for a bit but feels like TEMU Ozarks.

Actually got into that Resident Alien show and been watching that still. Also started watching some Netflix show called Into the Night. It's from 2020 I think and only has 2 seasons so I'm guessing it got canned, but finished season 1 and enjoyed it. It's also in French I think so I watched it dubbed to English.

We watched The Better Sister on Amazon and thought it was very good.

Watched a couple of episodes of Countdown (also on Amazon Prime) and thought it was mediocre/ok. Not vested in it so maybe we pick it up again, maybe we don’t.

We haven’t started Ballard yet but expect it to be good.

We started watching the first season of The White Lotus on Max. It seems stupid, yet somewhat amusing.

Watched a trailer for the new Dexter series and, as much as I like Dexter, it looks pretty iffy to me.

I've watched all three seasons of White Lotus. Honestly, I thought they were ridiculous. Like a train wreck, I just had to watch what happened.

I'm curious to see the new Dexter. Hopefully it will be better than the New Blood, which sucked in my opinion. I'm optimistic after watching Original Sin.

Original Sin was very good and definitely better than New Blood. Trailer makes the new one seem over the top. Hopefully it’s a case where the show is better than the trailer rather than vice versa.

There's a new one picking up where New Blood left off. I think it's out this week or next. Dexter - Resurrection.

Just watched the first two episodes of Dexter Resurrection. Jury is still out. Not feeling it. We’ll see.

We watched the Waterfront. Not great but we didn't have anything else lined up. Felt like a soap opera, the writing wasn't great and neither was the acting. I don't think we'd have lasted if there was something better available.

Having said that I'll give the new Dexter a try and Ballard is on our list to start.

We've been watching Countdown and frankly after about 4 episodes I think were done. Brutal acting and lame script. Just my two cents.

Had to put down Squid Game and I won't be finishing. They went to great lengths to ruin the franchise. All good, on to other content. Started watching Ballard and so far I'm disappointed. I thought it would have the same feel and quality as Bosch, but it falls short. It very much now feels like a network show and not cable. Huge miss IMHO. I'm on episode 2 and not sure how long I'll be able to stick with.

I would place The Wire in the top 5 series I've ever watched. I was just telling my son he needs to watch it, but now I am wondering having not rewatched it in many years - how has it held up? Sometimes the shows I remember as great lose relevance. (and the cell phones are always bigger)

Me too and I think Apple has some of the best Sci-Fi shows right now. New season of Invasion is coming also. Gonna wait till that one comes out and all episodes of Foundation and I'll signup for Apple TV again and binge that.

I just found out there's a season 3 even though I feel like season 2 just came out. After season 2 not sure I care enough to watch 3.

The Long Way Home on AppleTV is entertaining and looks like a fun adventure. It's two friends on a two month motorcycle ride through Europe, camping, hotels with great locations and meeting interesting people.
