Full body PPF - what can't be done

Hey all

Just had a convo with the installer (Alset auto) and they said they likely cannot cover the rear diffuser at all, concerned about melting

Anyone get full body PPF on a 2025 G80 Base.

Any advise/info would be greatly appreciated!

I had full Xpel PPF on my 23 M340i including diffuser. No problem in 2 years.
Did a full diffuser on my 25 MB CLE53 AMG as well.

Melting how?
I can see PPF melting on tail pipes, but plastic diffuser?

I can see the complex diffuser shape being a PITA to cover with film (nor all that necessary, to be honest), but melting is a pitiful excuse.

That was my thought as well. “This is hard, what excuse can we make up”

No worries, plenty of other companies that will do it. Keep shopping around. Wrapping a diffuser isn't challenging, and unless you're spitting flames from those exhaust pipes, it won't melt anything.

I wrapped everything in PPF on the exterior. Every piece

The diffuser absolutely was done with PPF and will not melt. This guy is full of crap and if they cant wrap that I would not hire them anyways.

Find a real installer that is not full of $h!t

Is your diffuser carbon or “stock” (plastic?)?

I have my whole car and rear bumper done and even the place near the exhaust.... it's not melted so far lol. This is with Llumar Platinum and it's like over 6 years old.
