Damn those are some high requirments for a sales job.
I guarantee the majority salesmen selling the cars wouldn't meet those qualifications. I know the one's that I've worked with selling BMWs wouldn't. |

Is there any way to sign this document without having Adobe pro? I guess I'll just have to wait and fax it in a few days.

Bachelors degree needed for a sales position? Well that puts me out the question, even though I work down the street from your company selling car parts.

If you weren't so far away, I'd love that bookkeeping/admin job :P It's similar to what I do now, and similar to what I did years past. And everyone is right, some people just love selling things (whether it be cars, car parts, or whatever). The discounts would be very nice ![]() Good luck finding the best candidate.

lol a high school diploma went far? it's the same then as it is now. means nothing. there just happened to be a lot more people then who had only hs diplomas. now everyone has a college degree. as for the molecular bio majors who cant find jobs, really comes down to bad grades for them. anyone with a life science major who had anything more than a 3.0 can find a decent job, go to med school, dental school, or even pharm school. |

It's the opposite now though; most have a BA/BS as a minimum

Guys
The reality is that we don't care about the degree so much as the skills learned while obtaining it. If you can find me another easily-verified metric that guarantees that the applicant can research, solve problems, manage his/her time, and communicate effectively, so be it. But nothing is as easy to verify, nor as sure a bet as "yes, I made it through the school of _______ at ________ university." The honest truth is that whether you studied Bio engineering or basket weaving, you had to have developed these skills to make it on your own in academia. That's what we're trying to get at, plain and simple. JL |

I have a (cute, 22 year old single female) friend who just earned her BA and is looking for a new job. I'll let her know about this, unless you prefer somebody who is active on the forums.
Does the job include any employee benefits, other than discounts? VAC/PTO? Medical? |

A BA huh? Tell her to apply to the accounting job, we'll definitely consider her.
No benefits unfortunately. JL Last edited by SV Concepts; 10-28-2009 at 11:01 AM.. |

I know a few people with MBA degrees that sell mortgages and yeah they are what you call losers but if you are a trader you can make a ton of money and that's sales. I think OP needs to find a college student in need of money or he's gng to find a lot of people who suck. In this economy they might be some good people but what OP needs is someone who isn't nuts and will steal or sue him and can do the job.
OP can you send me a payroll deposit so I can get the $100 bonus from Chase? I will send it back to you. Last edited by mpimping; 10-28-2009 at 05:49 PM.. |
