bayarea328xit wroteI didn't notice the M60 in the title. Probably a G65 S68 mule then. If BMW plans to jam more hybrids down our throat, then I'll pray they're able to deliver these G65 models with solid state or at least semi solid state batteries (they've been testing pre production solid state cells from Solid Power and semi solid state is a reality in 2026+). The liquid state LiOn cars are so ridiculously heavy it almost negates the benefits of fuel savings. They eat tires, get worse fuel economy when the battery is depleted, etc... my message to BMW is if you're gonna force us into these higher tech cars with blended ICE and hybrid tech then at least give us next Gen batteries that don't weigh a ton and threaten to burn down our homes if we charge them in our garage. The thread title lists "M60" — the closest match would be M60e with a 6-cylinder engine - which, I think, would unlikely to be sold with the twin exhaust pipes...
This is probably, as you suggested, the X5M - S68 (maybe with PIH battery)...

Yawn, boring. We've seen this car before - in the form of the iX3. It's the same design in a different size, the same interior, but with leather-covered airbags and an Alcantara headliner.
I bet we won't see the classic comfort seats with upper backrest adjustment, no soft close doors, no or few real leather options, no split tailgate, no wide wheel arches, cheap "Bowers & Wilkins" like in the G60 with plastic speaker covers that are supposed to resemble "aluminum" +++.

The new m5 is a perfect example. Let’s pay 130k and have plastic speaker grills and a non premium stereo option. The same stereo that someone in a 540 can get. Essentially the only interior difference btw an m5 and an i5 m60 is some red switch gear, m seats and alcantara headliner. So if they don’t offer it there… no way an m60 x5 is getting more premium items.

Outside is likeable to me at this point, but I'm sure the interior will be the all touchscreen garbage and/or the under the windshield dash abomination.
At this point it's pretty much used BMWs for our household due to design, materials, touch nonsense. Guess that saves us the depreciation hit.
