But, but....did they bring back my precious 2019 buttons and knobs? Aint buying no car with a touch screen.
VW finally got wise! Others will follow, it they're smart.

I'll hold onto my '24 much longer. I like the X5 in general, it's been a good car for me, but I'm not loving the front on the '27 at all. I don't know what the designers are thinking. Why do they want the cars to look electric? Who told them that's what we want? From what I saw of the interior so far, it's a show stopper for me. Looks like they're taking away the ambient lighting that I love, and why is everyone trying to copy Tesla with the one large tablet control panel screen and no dash? What is that display spanning across the front? I wouldn't be able to read what's on the far right. They build a nice safe car, but this is disappointing.

My comment is for the Neue Klasse interior design in the higher series above the ix3 and i3 that we didn't know until now.
So i am expecting the same front dashboard layout with the (optional)?second tilted screen as part of the idriveX, panoramic HUD and the center console.
And just for the discussion my friend i own a 2021 X6 G06. The interior and most of the dashboard is identical to the same for the MY X5 G05 and X7. Even some parts like the center console, door panels, Bowers & Wilkins speakers have the same part numbers for the 3 models.

ID X (10) is a directly carryover from the iX3 and all new i3 to the G70 (7-Series) LCI. If someone(s) does not believe we are going to see exactly what BMW revealed today in the G70 LCI then I suggest pulling your head(s) out of the sand because that is one 100% what is coming as well as the steering wheels because they are also a direct carryover from the same aforementioned vehicles.

In addition, BMW AG stated years ago that the the next Gen X5 would be moving up-market. The G65 is that the vehicle. We will see if that really pans out soon enough.

My last two cars were X5 plugin hybrids, x45e and x50e. I will get a new car this year and I am seriously confused. I might move to 2027 GLE 500e, just for a change.
Any other options?

SCA wroteDid they say because they have a lot of issues or is it just that if one does have a problem it is difficult to track down/work on. For a while there the BMW dealerships, all sections of them, seem to hate the 50e due to all of the issues it was having. Thankfully those days seem behind us.TurtleBoy wroteAs a multiple 911 owner with a friend whom is a Porsche dealer technician, I have been advised if I ever purchased one of those we will no longer remain friends. 😂 Porsche techs hate those things! If it was me I would consider the Cayenne Hybrid.

SCA wroteYes, hybrids and EV's are certainly different animals than what techs are used to. I was talking about the NK batteries with my service director earlier this month and he was telling me all of the changes to equipment they are making in order to service the batteries, even have to buy a new forklift. Since they can no longer replace modules the whole battery needs to be replaced and dealers need special equipment to do it. At that time they were the only dealer in CO opting to do it. BMW's plan is to have regional repair centers for that in case local dealers decide not to offer the service.TurtleBoy wroteDue to the complexity to make repairs to the drivetrain when there is a failure.
