RUS got lucky with the VSC (it is what it is, sometimes you get lucky sometimes you dont), and for the rest drove a constant race.
A clear signal that McLaren has the fastest car, and team Merc probably the 2nd fastest.
You wonder how long it'll take before Williams has a superior car to RB

Easy 1-2 for McLaren. PIA drove a faultless race in a superior car.
This will be his year.

That was a close moment at the end between SAI and HAM
Some personal honor involved there

It's just those tyre coolers that make them quick..and they had new PU's.

McLaren in a different league to the rest of the grid - Piastri has proved that he should be the lead driver moving forward.

Ferrari what in the fk was that race? The entire team has no clue what they are doing and what they want to do. The complete rebuild of the car isn't working and they don't know how to fix it and the strategy/communication is probably at its worst.

Max seems pretty ordinary driver this year since his car advantage has fallen off...but why the huge gap between him and his teammate? Is the other driver not so good because cars should be pretty similar?

It's the cars and normal for Ferrari in this instance with the tyre situation.

Max had no business getting last two pole positions against the Mclaren rocket ships. The guy is a madman.

No other car on grid has Mclaren magic tire wear.

Aero.
Sometimes you see a new suspension geometry but often a big aspect of that is also how the air flows over those wishbones etc.
And with aero, it's also how close you can seek the boundries of the rules.
Like at the moment some feel parts of the McLaren wings bend just a bit too much under certain speeds whereas they clearly pass the current testing system. So the FIA is also constantly looking for improving their measurement systems so see if the car complies with the rules and if their measurement systems/rules are in line with the spirit of the rules.
obiously changing rules mid season is a hassle for teams, but usually only for the teams that profit from a feature that's not really inline with the spirit of the rules and gives them at that aspect a unique but powerful advantage.

That last thing also means that other teams cant get that implemented in their own cars in such a way that it gives them that advantage (otherwise they'd do that too, that is tactically a better scenario).
Also the time you can do windtunnel testing (in 1/3rd scale I believe) and do computer models is limited. Building an actual car and test it for yourself on a testtrack is completely forbidden. So development takes mostly place in a virtual world.

It won't be at Imola . The RB21 upgrade will be at race 9 : Barcelona.
Hopefully 'something will work for the RB21 brake and tyre cooling..
If not ...This season will be over for MAX and the Red Bull Team.
Too bad ...It is what it is .
But actually we know very well what it is ..

My question is...was Hamilton not aware Leclerc and Vasseur relationship goes back to carting? Hamilton finding out today he is indeed the number 2 driver. He should have stayed with Merc.

As far as strategies...Ferrari doing Ferrari things.

Well the RB21 has a fundamental design flaw and It's a miracle that MAX still can win a few races in his Frankenstein car .
MAX still can win , but with the MAX-factor (!)
Since last year , McLaren has a huge advantage with a tyre and brake cooling system or whatever it can be ...
That's why McLaren is unbeatable because their tyres last forever..
As you know : Power is nothing without control (!)

As you can read => https://racingnews365.com/red-bull-p...ed-rb21-f1-car
